An Arts Festival? In Sydenham? This tiny corner of South East London has a great heritage of art, music & literature. Camille Pissarro lived and worked here, as did Booker Prize winner Kazuo Ishiguro. More recently, the area has been home to the prestigious Sydenham International Music Festival.
Come and celebrate the wealth of artistic excellence in the Sydenham area for what promises to be one of the most significant new arts festivals in South East London: Drama – dance – music – cabaret – visual arts – open studios trail – poetry – comedy – film – children’s events – talks – workshops and more. Open Studios Trail: 4 & 5 July and 11 & 12 July, 10.00am-5.00pm. Come and see the work of Anne-Marie Glasheen: poet, photographic artist and author of surreal images, at 108 Perry Hill, London SE6 4EY. Tea & cakes will be also be available – weather permitting – in the garden. Annie Antoine: ceramicist and creator of art and jewellery from found objects will be joining Anne-Marie.
