Genre:
Primary Category – 3D
Secondary Category – Ceramics, Assemblage
Artist Statement:
I use ceramics, assemblage and digital imaging to express my ideas. I usually hand build in stoneware or porcelain and often incorporate found objects in finished pieces. Other work involves cast paper and textiles. My work is mostly concerned with memory, the mnemonic qualities of objects and narrative. Cabinets of curiosities and souvenirs, old fashioned museum displays Pitt-Rivers style, and the cataloguing of objects intrigue me. I am currently working on ideas based on ephemera and fragments of text.
