Artist statement:
It fascinates me how obsessed people get, particularly women over their fashion and the accessories to their outfits such as handbag, shoes etc. Many 100’s of pounds are spent on many 100’s of accessories which are collected, cared for and loved as a possession. Magazines are packed full of the temptations of each seasons must haves, shops are full to bursting with many shops specifically tailored for just accessories. Using this inspiration from fashion, accessories and vintage style I produce work that is decorative incorporating pattern and images which I draw from everything around me.
