Critiques hosted by Liz Charsley-Jory,
ArtDog Gallery Space, 87 Duncombe Hill, Honor Oak, SE23
December 3rd at 11am
A series of critiques is proposed, designed to enhance our professional development and benefit from the diverse range of practices within our membership. The idea is for those attending to offer productive critical comments from which the artists involved can derive fresh perspective on their practice. During my MA studies at Camberwell, I found this aspect of the course the most valuable in terms of gauging how my work was being interpreted by viewers, in ways that I would never have guessed.
I will be hosting the first crit at ArtDog Gallery Space, on December 3rd at 11am. My work is on display there from November 28th - December 7th. If anyone would like to bring some work along to have critiqued on the same day, please let me know; one other person has signed up to do this, we have room for more.
We will keep these groups small and informal, so if you would like to attend please reply asap. Please email me at liz.jory@googlemail.com
For future critiques, anyone interested in hosting one or having their work discussed at another venue please let me know, along with preferred dates of availability, and I can begin to construct a schedule. We were thinking it would be good to establish a monthly or bi-monthly timetable. In this way we can begin to get to know each other and share ideas, which is one of the aims of establishing this network of artists.
