South London Women Artists announce their next art exhibition Compassion 

25th April –  29th May 2024, NW1 5LT. 

As the world grapples with recession, ongoing global conflicts, climate crisis, challenges to human rights and the aftermath of the pandemic, South London Women Artists shed light on the society’s most imminent human need for empathy and action, through mediums such as paint, glasswork and textiles.

Compassion advocacy is central to many of the works featured in the exhibition. Among the artists exhibiting are Michelle Baharier, a renowned disability and mental health activist, often exploring these themes in paint and other media and Tanaz Assefi who recently spoke on BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour, advocating for Iranian women through her doll-making workshops, inspired by the stories of women in Iranian villages. 

Taking place at Art Space, St Marylebone Parish Church, NW1 5LT.

A Private View will be held on Thursday 25th April, 5-8 pm

Exhibiting artists: Tanaz Assefi, Michelle Baharier, Emma Eden, Kay Davies, Carry Hornby, Paola Minekov, Heidi Seetzen, Veena Scialo, Raechel Tullett, Dil Vahidova-Mardell, and Virrgo.
