Curators Salon open call
Applications open 22 February – 6 March 2021
Call for submissions for works in 2d in any media. A virtual exhibition of recent work by members of South London Women Artists presented by The Curator’s Salon, curated by Gita Joshi to take place in April 2021.
Members are invited to submit completed 2d works for selection for a virtual open exhibition. All submissions will be considered and all applicants will have at least one art work presented in the final exhibition.
Artists can submit up to 5 works and all submitting artists will have a minimum of 1 artwork featured in the exhibition.
The nature of this virtual exhibition requires the artwork to be 2D but can be in any medium such as painting, printmaking, photography etc.
There is no theme at this time, and it is my expectation that a theme or exhibition title will reveal itself through the selection process.
Submitted art works do not have to be for sale.
Artists agree that the images of selected artwork can be used for promotion across social media and online by Gita Joshi. The exhibition will be promoted by The Curator’s Salon and SLWA, and participating artists.
There will be a submission fee of £20 for each artist regardless of the number of submitted images.
Artists will be required to submit a bio and statement in addition to the images at the time of application.
All members will be invited to submit from 22 February. Expect a link soon.
