The Tangled Landscape
Three voices, conversing together, connected by a deep, innate, understanding of where they are.Juxtaposing the materiality and ingrained history of three places. Jackie Brown, Sandra Masterson and Lydia Halcrow examine different legacies of our human entanglements with earth across three sites and timeframes; an agricultural field in Kent, an ancient woodland in France and the geological and post-industrial time of rapidly eroding coastline in North Devon. Slow and repetitive observation of these earthy places forms a deeper understanding of the impact of past relationships to the land as their impact unfolds in the present.
