I grew up in an Irish family in West London and moved to South London in the 1990s. My work ranges from large abstract acrylic paintings to small portraits and landscapes - real and imagined, often with a loved one in mind.
I can spend weeks on a piece of art and often scrape off or paint over sections. This leads to a gritty depth of tone, and the finished result is often a surprise to myself!
As a self-taught artist, I gain much from sharing techniques and inspiration with other artists; very pleased to join SLWA!
