I was first drawn to working with glass through seeing a documentary about the art of leaded glass windows, as seen most commonly in churches. This prompted me to find and attend a
one-day course with a Brighton artist. I was thus completely hooked, went on to study regularly at a South London Adult College, discovered kiln fired glass there and have been obsessed with that process ever since.
Although I now have my own kiln in my Streatham Hill flat, for larger pieces and more sophisticated equipment, I go to a workshop at the Mary Ward Centre, central London, where much can be learnt from the professional artist present (Helen Maur) and other glass crafters.
