Carry Hornby is a Chinese brush artist and a teacher. She uses her brushes and colours to tell the story of her life adventures and interpreting memories.

Carry Hornby is a Chinese brush artist and a teacher, born in Taiwan and travelled around Europe for study purpose. She is a member of Artist’s Union England, South London Women Artist, SMAG Art, and LEAN ( Lewisham Education Art Network). She is artist in residence for V22 based in Forest Hill Library. She regularly exhibits in UK and runs talks and classes at various venues. 

She now lives in South East London and enjoys using painting to express her experience of all encounters, and tell story of life adventures. She learnt to use ink and brushes from a very young age.  She is best known to paint with ink for her Chinese calligraphy and brush art, though she continues to extend her interest into other media and has been painting at Blackheath Art Studio and regularly participating at art exhibitions, and runing wrokshops. She now has a permanent exhibition at Blackheath Conservatoire and publictation including podcasts, albums and teaching videos. Her work are featured with the application of pastels, Acrylics, Charcoal along side her love for ink on brush work. Her creativity and art inspiration come from her life experiences and evetns. She uses sound, ink, pastel, charcoal, chalk and Acrylic to tell the story of her life adventures and interpreting memories with her brush stokes and her colours.
