I am an artist working across a variety of disciplines employing traditional and alternative processes with an interest in slow photography, durational, pinhole, camera-less techniques and printmaking. Working both on location and in a darkroom I manipulate my materials,  painting with light and chemicals to create photographic images that respond to site specific situations, environment, landscape and nature. I enjoy the expanse of nature and the minutiae looking at cycles of life by recording the decay processes with degenerative series of found and donated creatures, it is the mark making upon the substrate that interests me, what is left behind, the story of that being.

In the same way as I enjoy the processes involved in this I also apply those techniques to other organic matter capturing the more ephemeral aspects and emotive responses rather than a series of documentation pieces, such as “Common Ground” a project based on my allotment, images from this were exhibited as part of Reclaim Photography Festival in 2020

Working on a number of projects simultaneously I enjoy experimenting photographically with pinhole cameras, these get placed out for months at a time in order to record the passage of the sun. Searching for Light A Solargraphic Germination Project allowed the germination of seeds within cameras, this project has been widely exhibited and was featured in the OFFO Pinhole Festival Poland 2019 and Struck By Light Barcelona 2021to name but a few.

Currently my work is landscape based looking at history, emotional connection, memory, time and light with the ongoing “Ness” series which has been featured in numerous exhibitions and publications internationally, such as Seities Magazine; Intrepid Camera Magazine; Analogue Forever Magazine and shows with the most recent at CultureLabLIC New York.
