I studied Textiles at Camberwell College of Art and have spent many years teaching Textiles to adult students, initiating a textile foundation course which is still functioning today. The time has now come for me to concentrate on paInting, after many years of wanting to. I particularly like to paint people against an integral background. I paint figuratively using a limited pallet which means lots of colour mixing which reminds me of mixing dye colours in textiles. I have been a participant in quite a few group exhibitions with both paintings  and textiles and have had my own solo exhibition at the Woodfield Pavilion called 19 dogs and one chicken.
